Recreational Facilities
1) Coalhurst & District Community Centre
With facilities for wedding receptions, showers, anniversaries, birthdays, dances, meetings, and other social functions, the Coalhurst & District Community Centre makes an ideal venue for many different types of functions.

2) Miners Memorial Park
Miners Memorial Park is the largest park in Coalhurst at 23-acres and includes four soccer fields, four baseball diamonds, a social area with covered seating and a kitchen, community garden, campground, public washrooms, playground, and outdoor rink.
During winter months, the outdoor rink is flooded by the Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department when it is cold enough to freeze, and maintained by the Public Works department. The lights are on until 10:30 pm, daily. Residents are encouraged to bring a shovel to clear snow, as it is the last snow clearing priority for Public Works. The rink is UNSUPERVISED. Helmets are HIGHLY recommended. The Town of Coalhurst is not responsible for any injuries.

3) David A. Veres Social Area
The Town of Coalhurst offers a large enclosed social area within Miners Memorial Park that can be rented for social functions. It includes a covered kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, gas BBQs, fireplace, and picnic tables. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted at the facility in accordance with Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission laws.
A damage deposit is required at the time of booking. Any damage will be assessed and charged against the deposit.

4) Campground
The Miners Park Campground is open for camping between May 15 and September 15 each year. Overnight camping is available at a charge of $25.00 per night with self registration at the campground. (Look for the payment kiosk.) The campground contains a range of amenities including pay showers, a picnic shelter, a sani-dump station and flush toilets. There are 14 unserviced camping stalls available on a first-come, first-served basis.
