Residents in Coalhurst are invited to have their say in the development of a Recreation Master Plan for the community. Once complete, the Master Plan will guide how recreation and parks opportunities and services are planned and delivered in Coalhurst over the next 10+ years.
Having community members involved in the process to build the Master Plan is critical to its success. By having residents involved in the planning process, Council will be better informed when it comes time to make decisions about what types of projects to pursue and how those projects may be funded.
There are multiple ways for residents to provide input for the Master Plan.
PUBLIC SURVEY
Residents are encouraged to watch their mailbox the week of May 8 for a postcard to be delivered with a QR code that has a direct link to the online survey. If you don’t receive the postcard or are unable to use the QR code, you can also find a link to the survey HERE.
Paper copies of the survey can also be picked up from the Town Office during regular business hours, Monday – Friday between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m. each day. The survey will close Wednesday, May 1, 2024.
OPEN HOUSES
Three open houses will take place later this month. There is no registration required and participants don’t have to have any prior knowledge about recreation facilities or programs in Coalhurst in order to offer meaningful input. Beverages and kids’ activities will be included, so please feel free to bring the family.
One open house will be specifically for youth aged 11 to 17 (Friday afternoon), while the other two open houses will be for the general public (Friday evening and Saturday morning).
