Did you know the Town of Coalhurst provides winter sand free of charge at four public locations to help residents manage slippery situations?
As the temperature begins to fluctuate this week, snow could start to melt and re-freeze which means sidewalks could become icy. If you are looking for material to help add traction to your sidewalks, you can find sand boxes in the following locations (see blue dots on the map below):
- Coalhurst Esso
- Coalhurst recycling depot (702 55 Ave)
- Imperial Meadows Park
- The south end of Sundance
A friendly reminder to bring a scoop or shovel and a container to carry the sand back home.
