David A. Veres Social Area

The Town of Coalhurst offers a large enclosed social area that can be rented for social functions. It includes a covered kitchen equipped with a fridge, stove, gas BBQs, fireplace, and picnic tables. Consumption of alcoholic beverages is permitted at the facility in accordance with Alberta Gaming and Liquor Commission laws.

A $200.00 damage deposit is required at the time of booking. Any damage to the arena will be assessed and charged against the deposit.

Coalhurst and District Community Centre

With facilities for wedding receptions, showers, anniversaries, birthdays, dances, meetings, and other social functions, the Coalhurst and District Community Centre makes an ideal venue for many different types of functions.

Baseball Diamonds

There are four baseball diamonds located adjacent to the social area. They can be booked for individual games and tournaments. Rental rates are $20.00 per evening, per diamond, or $50.00 per day, per diamond. A $100.00 security deposit, taken at the time of booking, is required for tournament events, with the balance of the total rental fee to be paid no later than 14 days before the event. Deposits are refunded once the event has taken place, provided all rental conditions have been met.

Soccer Fields

Miners Memorial Park has three soccer fields available for rent, located west of the quad ball diamonds. At the time of booking, a security deposit of $100.00 is required for tournament events, to be refunded if all conditions are met. The balance of the rental fee must be paid no later than 14 days before the event.

Rental rates are:

• Youth teams: $26.00 per game
• Adult teams: $37.00 per game
• Tournaments (Youth): $27.00 per day
• Tournaments (Adult): $55.00 per day

Vehicle access for equipment drop-off is permitted, though vehicles must not be parked on the soccer fields.

Campground

Overnight camping is available at a charge of $10.00 per night. The campground contains a wide range of amenities including, group camping, pay showers, picnic shelter, sani station, flush toilets and water hookup.  There are 14 camping stalls available, however each stall must be paid for in advance.

Parks

Miners Memorial Park

A 23-acre, multi-use, year-round facility with 4 ball diamonds; 3 soccer fields; 14 camping stalls (un-serviced) with toilets, showers and R.V. dumping station; 6 horseshoe pits; outdoor skating rink (paved); children’s playground; and 32,000-square-foot, fenced-in area for private social functions, including a covered eating area, B.B.Q, and kitchen with sink, stove, fridge, and fireplace.

Residents interested in renting the facilities at Miners Memorial Park for a function should review the Miners Memorial Park Rental Agreement [PDF].  The agreement must be signed and submitted to begin the rental process.
