Coalhurst Spray Park Opening
The spray park located in Imperial Meadows Park will be open as of Wednesday, July 28th. The new spray park features:
– A variety of sprayers and water play areas for children 12 and under
– Accessible washrooms and change rooms that are available from 10 AM – 7 PM daily
– Outdoor showers
– Picnic tables and benches
– Video security system
The spray park project was brought to life through a partnership between the Town of Coalhurst and the Coalhurst Parks and Recreation Society.

Municipal Development Plan Update 2021
The Town of Coalhurst is currently reviewing the Municipal Development Plan in regards to the future land use concepts for the planned growth of our community. A video has been prepared which outlines the concepts being considered and a short survey is available for public input. Road Ban
Effective March 15, 2021, Lethbridge County, in conjunction with the Town of Coalhurst, will implement a Road Ban on the following roads:
– Township Road 9-2 from Highway 25 to Range Road 22-3 75%
– Range Road 22-3 from Township Road 9-2 to 45 Avenue in Town of Coalhurst 75%
– 45 Avenue from 6 Street to Range Road 22-3 75%
Both the province and surrounding municipalities implement road bans when the roads are most vulnerable in an attempt to maintain an acceptable and safe level of service for these types of roads and reduce the amount of damage caused by loading during periods when the road is susceptible.
Outdoor Rink Now Ready for Use
The Coalhurst outdoor rink has been flooded and is ready for use. Please adhere to the posted signs and follow all COVID-19 restrictions. 2021 GENERAL ELECTION – Nomination Package
The next municipal election will be October 18, 2021. In accordance with new legislation, Nomination Papers can be submitted to the Town Office during regular office hours anytime from January 1, 2021 to September 20, 2021. Nomination papers will not be accepted after 12:00 p.m. on September 20.
A candidate may withdraw his or her nomination at any time during the nomination period and up to 24 hours after the close of nominations (until 12:00 p.m. September 21, 2021).

The Town of Coalhurst Business License and Dog License renewal invoices are being mailed out the beginning of January 2021. 2021 licenses are due and payable upon receipt. If you do not receive your 2021 invoice/renewal by the middle of January, please contact the Town Office at 403-381-3033. Fines may be handed out for noncompliance.
If you no longer require your license, please make sure to notify the Town Office so our files can be updated accordingly.

Christmas Tree Pick-Up
If you have a Christmas tree you would like taken away, call the Town Office at 403-381-3033 and make arrangements to have Public Works come and pick it up.
