MINERS DAYS 2025

Join us for a weekend of fun and festivities for Miners Days 2025!

MINERS DAYS SCHEDULE

Friday, July 25:

  • 6 PM – 9 PM: Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department Open House (702 55 Avenue) – See the Town’s fire hall, fire trucks and equipment!

Saturday, July 26:

  • 8 AM – 10 AM: Coalhurst Town Council Pancake Breakfast with South Country Co-op – Coalhurst Community Centre (527 50 Avenue). Free of charge and everyone welcome!
  • 10:30 AM: Annual parade – We’ll be travelling down 6th Street, 51st Avenue (Main Street) and 2nd Street
  • 11 AM – 4 PM: Imperial Meadows Family Festival (613 Spruce Drive) – Coalhurst Fire Department Slip’n’Slide, Parks and Recreation Mini-train rides, Face painting & Airbrush tattoos, Spray park, FCSS Lawn games, Food trucks and more!
  • Noon – 5 PM: Coalhurst 55+ Club Cribbage Tournament/Fundraiser for Cat’s Sass Rescue – Coalhurst Community Centre (527 50 Avenue). Tickets available here.
  • 3 PM – 11 PM (Live music 7-11 PM): Parking Lot Party at Coalhurst Legion (5205 6 Street) – Drink specials, BBQ, everyone welcome. Children must be with an adult to attend.

*Please note: Parking at the Community Centre is limited, as paving will begin on the south parking lot on July 21. Parking will be available behind the Community Centre, as well as the elementary school. Visitors are encouraged to plan ahead, walk if possible, and be courteous to those with disabilities who will need to park close to the entrance.

PARADE INFORMATION AND REGISTRATION

This year, the parade will take place on Saturday, July 26, immediately following a community pancake breakfast.

Entry to the parade is free of charge, but pre-registration is required. Community groups, organizations, businesses, government officials and municipalities, and individual residents who would like to take part in the parade can find all the event details, parade rules and regulations, and safety information at this link.

EVENT DETAILS

  • 8:00 – 9:30 AM: Parade lineup and registration on the north side of Coalhurst High School, along 55th Avenue (See map below).
  • 9:45 – 10:15 AM: Judging of parade entries (note: entries not registered before 9:15 AM will not be included in the judging process).
  • 10:30 AM: Parade starts.

JUDGING CATEGORIES

  • Best overall entry
  • Children’s entry (decorated bikes, Girl Guides, Scouts, etc.)
  • Commercial float
  • Municipal float
  • Vehicle entry (classic, antique, unique and agricultural)
  • Group entry (non-profit group, animals, musical, etc.)
