July 11, 2024
Miners Days 2024 is fast approaching, featuring a number of well-loved, long-standing events and a few new ones. The annual Coalhurst festival will take place July 26 – 28, 2024.
The weekend has a full slate of activities designed to give all ages something fun to do throughout the community. It’ll kick off Friday evening with a couple outdoor events within walking distance of each other. Come check out the Night Market at the Community Centre where you’ll find several local small businesses and artisans and a fundraiser for The Cat’s Sass Rescue. While you’re out, grab dinner and a drink and listen to live music at the Legion’s Parking Lot Party. Kids welcome, accompanied by an adult.
On Saturday morning, join Coalhurst Town Council for the annual free pancake breakfast and parade, and then move over to Imperial Meadows Park for Party in the Park. The afternoon will include bouncy castles, train rides, cotton candy, laser tag, lawn games, activities with the Coalhurst Volunteer Fire Department, and more. That evening, grab a lawn chair and come down to the Community Centre for a free movie and popcorn. And finally, on Sunday, try out a ‘learn from your neighbour’ event, where residents can learn how to play disc golf in our local parks.
Everyone is welcome and we look forward to celebrating summer with you!
